ATTENDANCE AND EXAMINATION
For achieving academic excellence and proper development of conceptual skills, attendance in class is a must. Names of the students remaining absent from the class for 15 days or more without prior sanction of leave from Head of the Institution without valid reasons would be automatically struck off.
No students will be allowed to appear in the University examination without:
- Securing 75% attendance in each subject during the semester
- Clearing all pending dues
Note: The rules stated above may be modified from time to time according to requirements.
PROMOTION
Promotions are granted as per rules established by the Lucknow University .
CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT
There is a system of continuous assessment of students' performance through out the year. Regular class tests will be undertaken to ensure good preparation and understanding of each subject.
RESERVATION
Reservation shall be as per U.P. Govt./University rules.
DRESS CODE
The students are to be dressed up in the prescribes dress code.
IDENTITY CARD
Students will be required to carry their identity card with them all the time as this will serve as a proof for them towards their status as a student.
MEDIUM
Medium of instruction in the college is English.
LAB RULES
- Equipments for use in Laboratories will be issued to students as per rules laid down by the college. No equipment is to be taken out of the lab without written permission of Lab Incharge.
- Any damage to the equipment during practical lesson will be borne by the students.
- Any item issued from the lab must be returned before the examinations.
LIBRARY RULES
- Books will not be issued without Library card.
- If the book is lost, subjected to any damage or if any pages are found missing the borrower will be held responsible and shall have to replace the book/reimburse the cost/
- Books are issued to the borrowers and should not be lent to anyone else.
- All books should be returned before the examination.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- The students must abide by all the rules and regulations laid by the college from time to time.
- The students should respect college property.
- The students are expected to be at their best behaviour within and outside the college.
- Students must be punctual in reaching college. Late comers will not be allowed to enter the class.
- Students not in proper dress code will not be allowed to enter the class.
- A student can be rusticated if his/her conduct is not good.
- The students are required to adhere by all the library and lab rules laid down by the college from time to time.
- Students are expected to take part in all college activities.
- Any change in address/phone no. should be immediately informed to the college authorities.
- Each student is required to contribute to the high standard of the college by his/her conduct, discipline, manners and commitment to the studies and other activities.
- Parents/Guardians are required to extend full co-operation and support to the college. They are requested to acquaint themselves with the college rules and keep a strict vigil on the activities of their wards accordingly.
- Parents/Guardians should take proper note of all the circulars and information sent to them from time to time.
- No students will be allowed to learn the college during college hours without the written permission of the principal.
ANTI-RAGGING MEASURES
Ragging in any form under any pretext whatsoever is strictly prohibited within and outside the college campus. Anyone found indulged in ragging would be strictly dealt with in accordance to Govt. order/University Rules. The parents and the students would have to furnish an undertaking to this effect mentioned in the application form at the time of admission.
CONCLUSION
The managing committee of the institution reserves all right to amend/add/waive of any of the rules contained in the Information/Brochure/Prospectus without assigning reason thereof.
The interpretation of any of the rules as contained in the Information Brochure rests solely and entirely with the managing committee Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies. Its interpretations shall be final and binding on parents/guardians and students of this institution.
Disputes if any, would be subject to Lucknow Jurisdiction only. |
